Additional Insured Endorsements

What Is an Additional Insured Endorsement (AIE)?

In an insurance policy, additional insured refers to anyone other than the policyholder who is covered by the insurance policy. As a hair professional, you seldom own the space that you’re working in. You might have to lease or rent a booth from another person or company. Some landlords request to be added to your insurance policy as an additional insured to protect them from litigation if a client sues.

AHP’s Additional Insured Endorsement Benefit

Many insurance carriers charge extra to add an AIE to your policy, but with Associated Hair Professionals (AHP), there is no additional charge. To add an AIE to your policy, log in to your account, click on My Account, and click on Additional Insured Endorsement to add or view your AIE’s. Or call us at 1-800-575-4642.

FAQ’s

Who can be added as an additional insured?

Both individuals and groups can be given additional insured status, but their protection is more limited than the policyholder’s.

How does this help me and my business?

New landlords, salon and barbershop owners, or partners may ask to be included as an additional insured on your insurance policy before they will sign a contract with you. Having this option available to you at no extra cost just makes your job easier and provides options.
