USA Beauty’s Premiere Show Group hosted its flagship Orlando event, seeing more than 42,000 visits and resounding praise from beauty professionals and manufacturers alike; Premiere Orlando remains the gold standard.
Premiere Show Group, the nation’s largest and preeminent network of beauty industry events and world-class educational programming, hosted its flagship Premiere Orlando event June 3-5 at the Orange County Convention Center. Premiere greeted more than 42,000 visitors, from beauty professionals to students, rushing the exhibit hall doors on opening day to shop the 500 professional beauty brands in attendance, connect with their beauty community, and experience Premiere’s unsurpassed education platform. An extraordinary lineup of 650 classes, stage performances and hands-on workshops were offered to attendees.
“The highlight of our year is seeing the excitement and passion that our community expresses when they visit us in Orlando each year,” says Ed McNeill, SVP of USA Beauty LLC, “and this year was truly one for the books. With our 30th anniversary milestone ahead of us next year, I am delighted to see the continued year-over-year growth of this show and support from our valued exhibitors, attendees, and educators.”
The Education
Beauty Professionals from all segments of the industry came out to grow their careers with three days packed full of education. Guy Tang kicked off Sunday morning on the Main Stage with a packed crowd of 800 full seats and three rows deep of standing room only. The Main Stage and Barber Stage also hosted enthusiastic crowds for industry stars such as Lala’s Updos, Danger Jones, Matrix, Redken BaBylissPro & Barberology, Wahl, Andis, and more incredible brands and artists.
Popular sessions with full and overflowing classrooms included: Paul Mitchell’s exclusive classroom; CND’s nail classes with founder Jan Arnold; K18’s sessions with Ashlee Norman, Jack Martin, Alfredo Lewis, and Philip Wolff; Hattori Hanzo Shears with Wayne Tuggle, Collin Martin, Graham Nation, Cole Thompson, Kaitrin Ryanne, and Shaun Brezanin; Marco Pelusi’s “The Best Highlighting Strategy;” Tracey Hughes’ Leading Legends segment with Candy Shaw, Sam Villa, George Alderete, and Antoinette Beenders; Nicck Townsend’s “Million Dollar Brows;” Jenny Bui “The Queen of Bling;” Powder Group’s dedicated classrooms for Makeup Artists & Lash Professionals; and Steve Gomez and Amy Carter’s exclusive classroom featuring Business and Personal Development education.

The Brands
Beauty manufacturers and industry providers delivered an amazing show floor experience with demonstrations and shopping opportunities across all sectors of the show—Hair, Barber, Day Spa, and Nail.
Among the participating brands, Educator and Exhibitor Lauren Wireman of Wildflowers Nail Academy expressed the impact of participating in Premiere Orlando. "Exhibiting at Premiere Orlando impacts our success as a brand in a positive way,” she says. This sentiment resonated with many other brands and educators who recognized the immense value and exposure gained from being a part of this prestigious event. 2023 Premiere Orlando Winners
Competitions were a highlight of the show with increased participation over the prior year, including hundreds of entries across four competition categories.
Barbers competed for the ultimate bragging rights in the Barber Battle Competition, powered by L3VEL3 and sponsored by Barber EVO.
The Nail competition powered by Nailympia and Chisel Nail Art, and sponsored by Lechat, Scratch Magazine, and S3 Spa Equipment & Furniture offered six live and four turn-in entry competitions on the show floor. Nailympia, the globally renowned competition organization for nail professionals, is hosting the competition across all Premiere Shows in 2023. Contestants entering at least two of the four Premiere Show Nailympia competitions will be eligible to win The Premiere Cup!
Hattori Hanzo Shears put hair stylists’ “bixie cut” to the test, judging who can create this hottest trend with the most creativity and style.

The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) Finds New Home at Premiere Orlando in 2024
The Professional Beauty Association will host the 35th edition of the prestigious North American Hairstyling Awards® (NAHA) at Premiere Orlando on the evening of Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. NAHA honors the salon industry’s top artists who have pushed the boundaries of skill and creativity with a spectacular, high-energy ceremony. Entries open July 6th.

The Premiere Show Group has secured a new date pattern for its freshly launched West Coast, Premiere Anaheim event in 2024. “We are keenly aware that the professional beauty community in California is accustomed to a first quarter beauty event, fitting nicely in between the end-of-year holidays and spring break,” says McNeill. “Being able to secure these new dates at the Anaheim Convention Center and move the Premiere Anaheim event to February 4-5 in 2024 is a tremendous win for our business, as it will better enable our community to participate, generating more growth opportunities for all parties involved.
